Essay pending upon canon review. Topics to write on!

So, I've been thinking it's about time I a) canon reviewed for Dancy, and b) wrote out an essay about Dancy on various topics. The latter will serve more as a reference point for me and help me hammer things out, spell them out so I don't forget them, and perhaps serve as an interesting read for others. The recent Love Meme had a lot of mentions for Dancy, more than the one in February. I found that surprising but flattering. *blushu* Thing is, her canon is very obscure. Just because players find her intriguing to play with doesn't mean they necessarily want to or have the time to go hunt down the books. So for those who want to know more about her in a concise manner, this is the essay for you!
