TO MY GROUP OF GIRLS: : : I think that many times, people tend to overlook what is truly important. People fight and argue and cry and complain, and say that they would never hurt anyone the way they have been hurt. But, give them a few days, and they will do the same exact thing to someone else. Recently, i watched the movie, PAY IT FORWARD, and it really struck a chord. What if each person did something nice for three other people, then those three people did something nice for three other people? In a short amount of time, a large number of people could be affected. I think we should start the whole thing off by "paying it forward" with our friends. There has been a large amount of problems recently, and i think that if we could just sit down with the people that have been hurting us (or we have been hurting) it couldn't do anything but help. We need to learn to help each other, because as we once felt we were so unselfish, i think we are now wrong. We have ALL become selfish. We have ALL been overlooking what is importan
t in life. We need to learn to start accepting people more, and giving people a chance. Even if it is just saying hi and smiling in the hallway to somone who people normally make fun of or ignore... sometimes a smile can save a life. I'm not saying we should change the world, because that is impossible. But, just being NICE to people, or more ACCEPTING of people isn't that bad a place to start. We all need to re-realize why we were friends to begin with- because we care about each other, and we feel we can tell each other anything. We promised to always be there through thick and thin, although lately it has been more thick. But, i am not just speaking about those in our immediate group of friends. People all over need to focus on what is important in life; being happy, and helping others feel the same. We need to stop the petty fights, and i feel, most importantly of all, we need to PAY IT FORWARD. Think of what we could start...
