Shaken, not stirred.

A girl was stabbed by another girl in the library toilets of my university yesterday.

Thankfully, I am not at uni on a Tuesday, so I wasn't anywhere near the chaos and confusion that must've ensued. However, when I saw the story on the news and they showed footage of the girl being taken away by police, I realised that I knew her. Obviously not especially well - I didn't even know her last name - but I had class with her every Monday. I sat at the same table with her and talked with her.

This got me thinking about how little we know about so many people we talk to and see regularly. Uni is a particularly good example of this. How could I sit and talk to this girl every Monday and not have any idea that she was capable of stabbing someone?

I'm quite scared and shaken by the whole thing, to be honest.
