Pros crack_van recs
My month reccing Pros on crack_van has come to an end ... for my own convenience, and for any of you who don't follow the community regularly who might be interested, here's a list of my recs (the links are to the recs; the recs include links to the stories):

If you do happen to agree with any of my recs (or even if you don't), I beg you sincerely to consider dropping the authors/artists a line to let them know - I corresponded with many authors during the archive overhaul process, and an oft-repeated refrain was their discouragement over the lack of feedback in Pros compared with other fandoms, even for the most popular and talented authors. It didn't seem to me that any of these authors was writing "for" feedback (and Pros so far at least seems thankfully free of the awful "I won't write more unless I get two comments" phenomenon), but I can definitely understand how it might be discouraging not to even know whether your fic is being read (and my goal in life these days is to encourage more Pros writing ... :-D)
I appreciate very much all of you who commented to the recs - I enjoyed many of the discussions that followed, and I'll probably try to keep up a habit of discussing/reccing Pros fic occasionally here in my own LJ, too.
And on an entirely separate note: many many thanks to meri_oddities and many many hugs to smaragdgrun - you both know what for.
