fringe festival
the annual fringe festival (http://www.livearts-fringe.org/2007/home.cfm) is starting. went to a preview of Isabella last night, a theatrical piece based somewhat on Shakespeare's Measure for Measure. however it was seen through the eyes of a mortician whose charges acted out the various roles, in the way only semi-animated corpses can. (hey, at least they didn't want to eat brains...)
brought new meaning to macabre, that's for sure.
and I found it amusing that, after most of the cast spent the evening onstage wearing makeup, a toe tag, and precious little else, that for their closing bows they had hastily thrown on bath robes. :)
time to go teach my last class of summer session...
