Bison on the beach at 'Catalina lsland off the coast of California.
In 1924, 14 Bison were brought to the island for filming a movie. The movie left and the bison stayed.
I did! They're out on Catalina in the Channel Islands. There's been some controversy around them, as they're non-native and can pose a threat to some of the native wildlife on the island. But Catalina is dependent on tourism and there presence brings in big tourism dollars, so they've been kept on the island (though the herd is managed so they don't get too numerous).
