Wow, tomorrow is the LAST day of high school. Then off to a crazy summer-that'll be full of millions of surpries and hopefully some great memories..
We put our hand prints up, and we walked out of the gym...we are growing up 06'ers. Then it's off to the real world with no adults making your daily decisions for you. And my boyfriend living in the same dorm building as me..life will be different..i'll be living in Macomb? A small hick town probably, but it'll be nice being able to live in each kind of place--suburbs, this summer i'll be living downtown, and then going to a small town...i'm excited. I wonder which one will appeal to me the most, i can assume i'd pick suburbs, but who knows? Maybe small towns are something i really would like, but never lived in so i may have misjudged it..? we'll see though...
Prom is SATURDAY!!! I'm very excited!! Especially since my dress is super beautiful!! I love it! I can remember just a few weeks ago..prom seemed semi-far away, and now it's creeping up right around the corner. Time has been going amazingly fast lately. Just a year ago i was dying to be a senior and get outta school early, and now here i am.. And graduating on Thursday...it's all going by very quickly. I enjoy it, there are a few things i'll miss about high school, basically the safety net. It's hard going from knowing every inch of a school and all the secrets, and easy way to get outta bad situations..then going to a university, where you're an underclassmen again, and hardly know where anything is...it'll be an interesting transition.
Depaul is coming up! I'm just dreading that first weekend there...only because it's all orientation, and it'll be a little much to handle, but i'm sure i'll have a great experience there, and meet new people, and do new things..I'm excited about being able to student teach..i love it. I remember my first few weeks at churchill...they weren't as bad as i thought, and with the early childhood kids this year, my confidence definitely grew! Which is a MAJOR plus. I should have a great summer with them.
A month from now i'll be at depaul. 2 months from now i'll be back home enjoy my last 3 weeks at home. 3 months from now i'll be four hours away from home, at western illinois university. Wow the changes that will be made in the next few months are quite drastic.. and sometimes i hardly feel ready for one of them to happen..
I'm excited about WIU. I wish i knew someone going along with me to Depaul...but it'll make me feel more independent...
Congrats to us seniors...class of *2006*...moving on up to the future class of *2010*
