So, Thanksgiving went about as well as expected, with one exception that I'll get to later. My days were filled with much jovial sitting around, action-packed watching TV, and a hearty helping of just as much food as I get at any other meal. That is to say, it was very boring. I'm just glad my gramma has a TV in every room (albeit a small one) and cable. I had forgotten how much I like TechTV, so I at least got to watch a bunch of that.
One upside to this weekend however: I got a new computer! My gramma has recently been having problems with her memory and whatnot (as old people tend to do), and she has decided that trying to learn how to use a computer is not worth it. This wouldn't be such a big deal, except that she got it in June, so it's actually quite new and hasn't gotten much use. It's nothing super fancy, as it's one of those pre-made things from Dell, but it's still quite nice. I'm still not quite sure what I'm going to do with it. I could either combine my old one with my new one (the new one has a 2.4GHz CPU, whereas my old one has a 1.8) and get the best of both worlds, but that would involve me needing to buy a new motherboard (my current mobo is AMD, and the new one is Intel but doesn't have an AGP slot (I couldn't use a graphics card)). Or, I could leave them as they are and just have two computers (though what I would do with a second computer I'm not quite sure). What I've currently done (and will keep as it is until I figure stuff out more) is hijack the 128MB of RAM from the new, and switch to the new monitor (which I totally love!). I'll probably stick in the new 40 gig hard drive soon, as well.
Well, it would seem I have now run out of things I feel like talking about. Purple banana lightning!
