OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Switchfoot concert was SOOOOOOOOOO AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They are definitely my favorite band. I can't believe how awesome they were live!!! Some bands/singers suck live, but I'd say Switchfoot sounds better live than on their CDs.
Oh my goodness, I can't even explain it. They were so awesome. And there were so many people I know from school and Crosswalk there!!! I only said hi to a couple people I knew though, otherwise we probably would have got to talking and Heather and I would've gotten back late for curfew.
SWITCHFOOT ROCKS MY FACE OFF!!!!!
And they were so humble too! I couldn't believe it! Jon Foreman (who has a frickin' amazing voice!) was talking after one of their songs and he was like (this is paraphrasing by the way, cuz I don't remember exactly what he said), "You know it really bugs me when people call us rock stars. We're not rock stars. We tour in two minivans! We're soccer moms, not rock stars!"
OH my goodness! They're so awesome. I totally want to find out when they're coming back near here and see them again.
I think "Meant to Live" was my favorite song they did. Or "Only Hope." ...Or "Dare You to Move" or maybe even "Learning to Breathe." Okay, okay, they were all awesome. I was so excited when they did "Only Hope" because it's always been one of my favorite songs of theirs. I seriously started jumping like an idiot and yelled "yay!" when they started "Only Hope." And when they started "Meant to Live" I started jumping around and singing along because it rocks my face off.
Only...if I ever get to see them again, I hope I can get a little closer...or at least not get stuck behind a tall guy again. Haha. But that's okay.
AAAAA!! Switchfoot rocks my face off so much!!!! :) :) :)
I'm so excited about it still that I think I'll probably have a hard time getting to sleep tonight, lol.
So if you've never heard Switchfoot's music, you must go buy their CD "The Beautiful Letdown" right now and listen to them!!! Or go somewhere and download "Meant to Live," "This is your Life" (oh, speaking of that song, I wore my TIYL shirt from student night at Crosswalk last year. haha), or "The Beautiful Letdown."
Oh goodness. I can't believe they were so awesome. i want to see them again. And again. And again. I swear, if I ever get famous as a singer I totally want to do a song with them. Hahaha.
Now I must go attempt to write my devotional speech for tomorrow, which I realized I still had to do while Heather and I were driving to the concert.
SWITCHFOOT IS AWESOME!
