Doctors. I hate them too.
So my test results came back. The endocrinologist thought I had an insulin problem which was causing my infertility and weight issues. She sent me for a 3 hour glucose test (imagine drinking fruit punch concentrate that someone forgot to add water to, and then getting your blood drawn 5 times over the course of 3 hours...oh and trying to keep a 6 year old occupied in a lab while doing it). Results came back and my insulin level was through the roof. I don't have diabetes, my blood sugar was perfect. Problem is my body is making way too much insulin, sort of overreacting, which is causing my ovaries to not drop eggs (which is causing the infertility and "lady problems") and also my weight. At least one large portion of it anyway. So the multitude of doctors who told me nothing was wrong with me, to lose a few pounds and I will be able to get pregnant...they were full of shit. No one bothered to check my insulin despite me being a text book case of it. Grrrrr, grumble grumble.
