How does a 4 year old need the same amount of sleep as a 29 year old? She is on a horrible schedule right now. Last night at midnight she was chatting away, rolling around on the bed, and insisting I never stop rubbing her back. I finally had to send her to her room, I promptly fell asleep so God knows what she was up to after that. I guess I have to wake her up here in a minute. Deal with a day full of the crabbies just so I can get her to bed at a reasonable hour. If she took a nap that would be one thing but as everyone knows (since I bitch about it all the time) she gave up naps when she was just a year and a half old. Any suggestions?
Got paint for the livingroom. Since we are having company this summer I wanted to clean all the little kid handprints and the meals they have managed to splatter on my walls. Of course Lowe's couldn't match the color sample I brought in so now I am stuck with a gallon of paint that is *almost* the same shade. *Almost* just ain't good enough though since I am NOT getting my fat ass up on a ladder to paint the cathedral ceilings. Besides the paint up there is out of reach of grubby fingers and its only 2 years old (the paint) so it doesn't need any touching up. Oh but you want to know what an idiot I am? So I find some of the left over paint the builder put in the garage. I get out the almost full gallon of Russian White (a very very light brown, like coffee with 5 creams) and proceed to paint every hallway, my room, the guestroom, my bathroom and one wall of the laundry room. It is then I realized I used THE WRONG PAINT. UGH! Yes, Russian White is the correct color but I used semi-gloss over flat. It looks horrible, since I just touched it up. So now I have to start all over again with the right kind of paint. Of course there is only 2 ounces of paint left in the flat can of Russian White so now I have to find whatever bum-fuck paint company the builder used (because they can never just go to Lowe's or someplace simple) and order two more gallons. One of Russian White and one of Fortress Stone. And this with a kid with the case of the crabbies. What fun.
