Gabriella Mannucci was my best friend.

I think I've learned that that doesn't mean I can't ever have any other friends, but I knew so much about her so quickly.

Ella was pretty much the only person I ever talked to about mum.
I remember the first day I met her. She was looking like a wet weekend and a half, and I dragged her home to meet the family straight away. Cos my sisters and my dad, they're a part of me. And then Ella was like part of my family too. Like another sister.
She was scared easily, especially after the shooting. But she'd be the first person to hug you and say it'd be better.
She always drank tea without sugar. I thought this was gross. I still think it's gross, but I can't ever have sugar in tea again.
She was really proud of her big sisters. She always said how lucky she thought they all were, and she told me she only wanted to be half as happy as them.
Sometime she'd grin big, and sometimes she'd have the saddest smile. But she always tried to show other people that she was fine, even when she had something on her mind.
I'd tell her everything, and she the same for me.
And no one, no one ever will ever match up to her.
