I had an epiphany today about Facebook.
A little background on the epiphany. When I was young I was teased mercilessly. Especially after I came out. I was tormented in my home town until I left. All those people are jerks and assholes who claimed to 'not care if I lived or died' and that sort of thing.
Fastforward years later, and these people are trying to ADD me as friends on facebook? What the hell is that even?
I realize it's moderately childish to assume that people don't change. But honestly, people who make you feel like you want to do something crazy to yourself adding you as friends years down the road is sort of an awful concept.
Does that not strike anyone else as the weirdest thing in the world?
