I do not think I will ever understand these American idioms. Who is John Hancock and why should I run with the ball? Didn't the Trojans' mistake mean we should look a gift horse in the mouth? What is a pig in a poke? Perhaps we Danes have some of these odd expressions, too, but at least they make sense.
