Why is it, in movies and in real life, that when someone wakes up in a hospital with needles and tubes in them -- probably important ones -- they just jerk them right out and try to move around?

Honestly, people. Can't you even pretend to trust the doctors taking care of you?

Basically just that. I had my back turned for a moment, came back and -- that idiot woke up and just haphazardly pulled these IV tubes out.
