Victoria got bored being second to my work, and I can understand Lucinda putting me second to hers. It's hard to change habits, but I thought I was doing well. Better, at least. I was trying not to fall into old patterns, but there's one that I can't break. People get bored of me and leave.

I'm sorry to hear that. I ... I suppose not everyone's meant to have a happy ending. I don't know anymore. Although I'm rather sure I sound like a typical teenager, filled with ennui, when I say that.

I don't believe in fairy tales and happy endings anyway. Most of the endings I see are violent and bloody. It'd have been nice for the middle part to have been less like the rest, though.
