I take it that doesn't happen a lot?

Once every ten years, I'd say. Maybe even less.

He sounds like a real winner.

He...killed his brother. In cold blood. So he wins at something.

Murder? Not exactly the sport anybody should excel at.

He's not exactly the nicest guy. But -- after everything I guess family does mean something to him. Hard to believe, really.

You're a bigger man than I am. I don't think I could stand by....anybody....who'd do that.

Of course because it's Tree Hill it's more complicated. He, he saved my son from our psycho nanny.

Are you serious, or have you just seen The Hand That Rocks the Cradle too much?

Serious. Our nanny tried to break my wife and I up and then stole my son during my brother's wedding. And then a few months later she ran Dan over, kidnapped him, and held him hostage before luring my wife and my kid to a remote house where she almost killed them.

I'm serious.

........

Kind of sounds like you're living in a horror movie, my friend.

For a few months there. But, it's Tree Hill. After my wedding to Haley, our not-friend Rachel drove off a bridge with my Uncle in the limo with her and I jumped in after them.

Have you guys ever considered moving? Not that Neptune is a whole lot better, but...

You know, as much as I say 'it's Tree Hill'...I mean, the people who have come through Tree Hill -- and Dan. I don't know. If I had gone to the NBA I wouldn't be in Tree Hill most likely.

I'm not much of a sports girl, but even I know the NBA's a pretty huge deal. What happened?

I let my anger get the best of me and I was thrown through a plate glass window.
