Have officially signed up for Beginners French classes. Monday nights 7:30 - 9:30. Starting Oct 20th.

... Fuck, what the hell am I thinking, doing school again? Oh, right, those boyfriends of mine constantly speak French and I have no idea what the crap they're saying.

Hope this is worth it.

French, huh?

Yeah. Well, JP is French-Canadian, and Doug knows every language, and they talk French sometimes. I get annoyed when I don't know what they're saying, so. Will just have to learn what they're saying.

Every language?

Sounds like it'll be worth it.

Yeah. You know how I have the fire power? Well, his is linguistics - he just knows every language. Even if you started talking to him in a language he's never heard before, he'd understand it and start talking back fluently. And I mean every language, right down to computers and aliens and demons stuff.

I hope so, if I make it through it.

Is this because of your boyfriend?

Both of them, actually. And, sorta? I mean... it'll be good for me, I'm sure, to learn more stuff. But it's pretty much to curb my annoyance when I don't know what the hell they're saying.

Plus, I think they'd like it.

They'd probably be amused at the mistakes you'd make while you were learning.

It's a cool idea.

Heh, probably. Though, I'd have a couple awesome tutors... well. JP's French isn't the same French so he'll probably end up messing me up more. Oh, well.

Yeah? Well, I think it was JP's idea, originally. But only because he yelled at me when he was annoyed with me being annoyed. "Chrisse, then learn French already!" Something along those lines.

If you need any help, let me know. I'm fluent in French.

I'm sure they'll appreciate it.

Are you? That's cool. Yeah, I might have to have a study session with you if my boys are too busy doing their own thing... who the hell am I kidding? I'm sure you're busy doing your own thing too. But, thanks.

I think they like the idea, yeah.

I'm never too busy for my friends, John. We can make it work.

Okay. I'll keep it in mind. Thanks.

Although, I think I should pre-warn you: I suck at the school thing. I anticipate lots of frustration, and possibly yelling. But hey, at least it'll be in French because I've picked up that much at least from Jean-Paul. Heh.

Nothing wrong with trying. Jean-Paul must be thrilled he'll get to hear you speaking in French.

Yeah, I think he's pleased with it. But he's likely to get real annoyed when I fuck up pronunciation before he hits the thrilled thing, probably. Heh.

I think you'll enjoy it.

My mother taught me French but only très peu. I'm very rusty with it.

Well, we'll see about the enjoying thing, but I think it'll be good for me.

That's kinda cool, that she was able to teach you.

I don't know, I always enjoyed school. It was something I was good at. Most people don't enjoy school though, I guess.
