Isn't it just pleasant to wake up to the smell of boiling flesh?

I'm going with no. WHAT do you do or WHERE do you live that that's a morning smell?

I don't live there.

Well, that's a lie, it might be considered that I do, but I work in a morgue -- specifically, in this case, the graveyard shift.

I was catching a nap in one of the back rooms when one of my colleagues had to boil the skull in order to get a better look at the entry wound? It's not the greatest thing in the world to wake up to.

Yeah...I can imagine it would be. Are you studying to be a medical examiner or just a job for job's sake?

I'm studying to be one. It's my second year in, so -- that's around the time you start looking for those ever important internships.

Isn't it? I mean it's one thing to have to deal with it when you're awake, but when you're asleep?

I thought I was going to be sick.

I'm surprised you weren't.

And unabashedly curious as to why.

Please tell me this has nothing to do with your sisters.

Only in the sense that it has something to do with their jobs.

I was taking a nap in the morgue, and someone happened to need to boil the skin off a skull in order to get a better look at the entry wound.

It was a bit of a rude awakening.

...Oh, that is just disgusting. I have seen my share of charred remains but waking up to that smell? *shudders*

It's not charred. Boiled. There's a distinctively different smell.

And it's kind of sad that I know that.
