Ok, so this is my new journal...welcome to whoever might stumble into this mess ;)
My name's Kiri. English is not my first language. I was born and raised in the north of Germany but am now living, working and studying in London, UK.
Whenever I'm not working or studying I am exploring London (alone or with friends), gone of somewhere else to see friends/family, sitting somewhere sipping my coffee (most of the time caramel coffee frappuccino...I'm addicted I guess;) or watching tv (preferably CSI, Law and Order, House, some comedy,...), listening to music (at the moment mainly The Who, Oasis, Rammstein, Led Zeppelin, Coldplay, Fleetwood Mac and sometimes James Blunt or Soundtracks...my taste generally depends on my mood I guess) or reading (I love fantasy...everything like Dark Elf, Otherland, LotR, Harry Potter, Narnia,etc) but I'm also reading a lot of non-fiction.
The books I love best are the ones you can disappear into and just forget where you are for a bit (like a short holiday*g*)
At the moment I'm working as a nanny here in London while going to university part-time to study psychology (I want to be a child psychologist ever since I've worked with attachment disordered children).
I had and still have this dream about packing my things and travelling the world (just working here and there to get along) and in a way I have started already as moving to the UK for some time and living in London was one of my dreams...and it turned out to be a good dream although it changed my original plans ever so slightly...lol, that's how life goes I guess.
Edit 30-08-06: Just back from a trip to America specifically Chicago, New York and Tampa Bay, Florida (with the family I work for) and had the most wonderful time. Now even more than before I totally wanna move to New York for a year or two once I've finished my degree here...
