Reception: Open RP

As you enter the reception hall for Annie and Frank's wedding you are going to notice three things.

1.) The beautiful and crisp decor, green and white were the colors that Annie and Frank chose for their wedding and it definitely suits them. The hall is bright and cheerful and yet soothing all the same time, it's going to be hard to feel bad in this

It's been a whirlwind of a day, but after exchanging pleasantries with just about everyone, Frank finds a glass of champagne and a pillar to lean against as he just takes a breath and lets it all sink in.

Naturally his gaze falls on Annie, looking utterly beautiful in her dress as she talks and laughs with Jean-Paul. My wife, he thinks, and smiles to himself. He knows their life together will be nothing but wonderful, for years to come.

Jeanne-Marie hasn't spent much time with Frank and Annie but what she knows about them is encouraging, Annie seems to have become Jean-Paul's best friend and almost mother figure and every time she speaks to either of them she likes them more and more. She is however still a little shy, so she cautiously approaches Frank. Not wanting to bother him on his special day.

"Frank?" She says, and smiles at him. "I just wanted to say congratulations."

Frank smiles broadly. "Hello Jeanne-Marie. Thanks so much for coming. I wanted to thank you for the cake. Everyone's been telling me how beautiful - and tasty - it is."

She smiles and tucks a strand of hair behind her ear, "Oh merci. I'm so glad that you two were happy with it, I was worried that it wasn't going to match your flower arrangements for a while there."

"The whole wedding was lovely by the way, you two look very happy together."

"Oh, we are."

Frank is aware that he and Annie are probably turning into one of those irritating lovey-dovey couples... but he doesn't really care. "I think it all turned out perfectly. Nothing too formal, but... right, somehow. Where did you learn to bake like that?"

Jeanne-Marie smiles and pushes her glasses up on her nose, "I actually started with baking birthday cakes for a bunch of the younger girls at the school I work at. And I guess with time I just got more and more interested in the art of it."

"I know what you mean," Frank says. This is probably the longest conversation he's ever had with her. "I started cooking in college just so I wouldn't starve... and then I thought there had to be more to it than ramen noodles every day. I guess it just became another hobby. Do you teach it too?"

"Oh heavens no," Jeanne-Marie says with a smile. "I'm just a simple librarian is all. But I enjoy it, I get to read a lot and spend time with the girls in a less....restricted atmosphere."

"Well I know I'd love to live with books all day long," Frank admits. "So it's quite a strict school, I imagine? Catholic, isn't it?"

"Oui, Catholic." She says and gives him a little shrug. "And I don't think it's any stricter than any other Catholic school, although the way Jean-Paul describes it you would think we were crucifying people."

"Well, Catholic schools do have a reputation," Frank points out. "Although I imagine it's been blown all out of proportion. Do you still have nuns teaching?"

Spotting Frank tucked away in the corner of the event hall he knew he had to pop over and say congrats to the other, after all the day might be all about the wife but hey, husbands needed congrats too!

"Hey old man, nice trophy wife you got there." He teased, jabbing playfully at the other as he took a sip of his drink. "I jest, in all seriousness you look amazing Frank! Look at you! Nice suit."

"Oh, like anyone can compare to you and your husband," Frank replies with a smile, putting down his glass so he can give Thackery a hug. It's a hugging sort of day. "Thanks for coming. It means a lot to both of us. And, speaking of trophies, it does feel like I've won the Oscar, Olympic gold, and the Nobel Peace Prize all at once."

"I was going to argue that, and then I realized it's true. It's a nice feeling though isn't it? Having arm candy." He was only half teasing about that one. He did love showing Mark off any chance he could. As for the hug well he was more then willing to hug Frank. It was a hugging day for sure! He placed his own glass of wine down beside the other and hugged as tight as he could. Laying a few pats on the back as well before pulling apart. "You did. She's stunning, like a movie star. Shes athletic, I mean look at that body! Plus she's nice and a mom! They should have a mom category in terms of Nobel Peace Prizes."

"Oh, I agree. She should win all the awards," Frank says, his gaze lingering on her. "Did she mention we're going to Wales? I hope the weather keeps up... or at least the heating system."

[hearing_touch]

"She did! I offered to host a little sleep over with Carter and my kids, if he's up to it that is while you too get your alone time. Did I mention I'm totally jealous?" He smiled watching the others gaze, knowing who it was on without even having to actually see it.
