6.3.3. Time's change
Times change, Vala wasn’t quite as annoying as she usually was, although right at this moment in time she was starting to get on Daniels bad side.
“Oh, you know you want to.”
“Actually no, I don’t.”
“C’mon Daniel, we’ve not so much as left this mountain since we came back from Atlantis, I know you’re still pouting that you had to come back but I think it’s time you stopped acting like a child and just got on with your life.”
As he looked up at her she just grinned and jumped to sit on the desk he was leaning on while working. “Daniel!” She said his name in that annoying way she could when she was bored, “C’mon, this is killing me in here.”
Slowly he stood to look her square in the eyes, “If you can keep quite and not bother me for the next hour then I’ll take you out,” he put his hand up to stop her from talking, “But if you make one noise in the next to hours then we’re not going. I’ve got to get this finished before I send it to Atlantis.”
Nodding Vala pretended to zip her lips shut, lock them and then throw away the key. Leaving a kiss on his cheek she grabbed a magazine and went to sit down in the chair in his office. Daniel went back to work.
An hour later there’d been no sound from her and this both impressed and worried him, looking over he saw that she’d not only fallen asleep but she’d tied her scarf around her mouth to stop her from talking. Smiling to himself he shook his head and went back to work. Almost exactly on the two hours Vala was peering over his shoulder with a bright grin upon her face. Turning to look at her he smiled and shook his head, “I didn’t think you have it in you…”
“And yet I did so now you’re gong to take me out of this mountain and I’m not letting you go back on your word.” With her award winning smile she grabbed his hand and started to drag him out of his lab and down the corridor. Daniel knew better than to argue with her so he did his best to keep up.
“And where exactly are we going?”
“Well, I was thinking you could take me out for a really expensive meal, we could then go for a walk under the moonlight before you take me back to your place and have sex with me.”
