Summary: not much...just a short fic.
Disclaimer: *sigh* ok i don't own Dom but i do "Keep" his toes over at the FF Dominatrixes thread.
“You’re seriously going to walk around in your bare feet?” The girl is laughing at him.
“Well yeah.” He thinks nothing of it. Why would it make any difference here than anywhere else?
“Well what if you get cut or athlete’s foot or something?” She is looking at him with less concern more amusement. She is wearing pink sparkly flip-flops and her toenails are painted a tinfoil colour. He glances down at her professional-looking foot and wonders why she spent all that money.
“I’m careful.” He shrugs. And he is. “Have you never just walked around in your bare feet? Just to feel the different textures?”
“Sure I have.” And he knows she’s not lying, but she adds. “I’m just not crazy enough to walk around with my shoes off in the city like this.”
And Dom wonders why not. He wants her to be crazy. He wants someone to be crazy with. He guesses Elijah would have had his shoes off by now. Just a little coaxing from Dom. Dom would have told Elijah it was very spiritual and that he just had to try it. And Lij would have been right there with him enjoying the heat of the dark road.
But Dom can’t say this to the girl. Why would she understand? She was after all not Elijah…or Billy for that matter. Billy would have convinced Dom that he didn’t want to go out of the house without shoes. Billy would have only had to give him that look that Billy gave best and then Dom would have put his sandals or runners on.
He looks down at his feet now. Long monkey toes. He grins at the way his smallest toe curves in a little and he looks at the way the bones kinda stick out.
“What’s so funny now?” She is confused and he isn’t about to explain that he’s thinking about other guys. She thinks he just thinks of her.
“Nothing.” He smiles happily at her and realizes that she is so beautiful. But she doesn’t have Lij’s eyes or Billy’s filtrum. And that’s okay.
