On Jeremy Lin
An interesting Op-Ed on Jeremy Lin, posing the question that "it is hard not to wonder if the places from which the Chuas and Lins emigrated played a factor in their parenting styles." I think the author's idea that certain cultures in certain areas have become more Westernized, but I think it's much more complex than that (see previous post on the AAPI workshop, particularly the story of the "Chinese Born Chinese"). It's quite intriguing how much attention Lin has been getting, though.
