Request for action movies, some FF music links
Can anyone rec a good action movie? I seem to be drawing all the ones that irritate the heck out of me - Bodyguards and Assassins, Man From Nowhere (watching that one now and though there are some good moments, the pacing is too slow, the fight scenes average, the detectives f-ing annoying). Movies I have liked: Exiled, Memento, the first Bourne movie.
I did watch the 5th episode of BBC Sherlock yesterday though, and squee'd and cackled my head off 'cause Sherlock's the most fantastic son of a bitch genius ever XD Also, gotta love Watson calling him out: "You being all mysterious with your cheekbones and turning your coat collar up so you look cool." XDDD
Oh, and 'cause I'm still trying to exhaust all my Final Fantasy XIII fangirling, some covers, remixes and such:
- TAMusic, who I've followed for years now on YT, has some great renditions of Lightning's theme, this one and this one (he did all the instruments for the latter)
- Piano Collections version of Fang's Theme
- Really great electric guitarist that I came across who not only plays the melody, but also some of the background and improv - really great skill and even transitions in his medleys: FFXIII Blinded by the Light, FFVIII battle theme medley (Part 1 and Part 2), and of course FFVI and VII (VI Decisive Battle around 1:58 of Part 1 and One Winged Angel at around 6:30 of Part 2)
- Interesting hip hop version of Lightning's Theme
- Very much digging this battle theme from FFXIII-2.
And some LOL about Lightning and her cape (what with all the acrobatics she does while fighting) here XD
