grad school
I have officially started my first semester as a full time grad student. life is giong to keep me pretty busy for a while between the 5 classes and 16 hrs of field placement. my first 3 classes were pretty straight forward. in my "human behavior opression and diversity" class some guy stated that he was insulted becasue he is a social conservative and the prof was only referencing obama and hilary nd he felt like neither off them match his views. he also said that he felt uncomfortable in a public american college because people were not going to agree with him unless he went to a christian college in the middle of the country.
Cant wait to come out in THAT class!
tonight i have a class that I have been really anticipating for quite some time. it is sexual orientation and gender identity. i hope to learn something new but im not too optimistic, i more want to learn about what the school is teaching to everyone else.
annd then even though my field doesn't start until next week, i am going to a big meeting tomorrow to hear the presentation of data from the first ever LGB inclusive risk assessment survey of RI youth.
