back in RI
i am home! thank you all so much for your good vibes. i am healing well. i will have some pictures in a few days- i cant see the incisions or anything yet because of the bandages that cant come off til the drains come out. the drains cant come out until they collect less than 25 ccs of fluid in a 24hr period. i am hoping they are done by wednseday but who knows...
i cant say enough good things about the experience. everyone has been great and have been taking really good care of me.
the dr and staff were amazing. k and his family have been great. it is good to be home.
i ended up having to have double instead of keyhole, but i am ok with that. it was my descision. after meeting wtih dr fischer i had her show me how much skin/tissue was going to be left behind and i wasnt happy with that. i decided that what was most important to me was to wear a tight fitting shirt without worrying what my chest looked like and i was not going to get that with keyhole without 1 or possibly 2 revisions. it just wasnt worth the wait- the scars really dont matter to me that much and i decided that nipple sensation didnt really matter either (T has made them so sensitive that they were not pleasurable anyways).
