*He'd woken up a little while ago, and for the most part he was just content with looking around the medbay while Rewind slept on beside him. Sight didnt tell him very much, so he let his nose check on the others around him...
Eject was still somewhere near Sunstreaker. First Aid was back in his office. Beachcomber was still asleep... The cube of energon was still near him, and he shifted a little to reach it, attempting to try and drink a little more of it. He's managed about three achy sips when a new scent entered, and this one was a very familiar one.
He looked up just as Blaster entered, and his optics brightened as his guardian came over*
*he entered cautiously, not sure at all if Steeljaw would even be pleased to see him; between what had happened and their parting words before, he wasn't sure if Steeljaw would even pay him any attention*
Hey, there, 'Jaw. *his vocalizer was toned down and his optics light, sure signs that Blaster was still not quite himself. He looked the lion cassette over, checking what damage Steeljaw still retained* How're you doin'?
*flicks his ears, wondering why Blaster's not coming any closer. He wished he could just get up and go over, but he was still hooked up to a few machines that were monitoring some of his vitals after the rust infection, and his left hind leg was not coming out of that brace any time soon. Not to mention he was still sore just about everywhere. He also had a few dents and scrapes left over, and patches of stripped paint here and there*
*so far, so good. Blaster stepped closer, dragging over a chair from the corner and taking a seat next to the berth Steeljaw was lying on* That's good.
*he was having trouble looking at the injuries the cassette sported; each one made him feel more and more guilty for having not come earlier. What kind of guardian was he? He'd come so close to losing one of his youngest charges and he hadn't even gone out to help rescue him* Glad to see you're gettin' better. Been worried outta my processors.
*huffs* [stubborn mechanoid. Communications wont collapse and die just because you're not there... How will you take care of us if you're too busy lying prone in the medbay?]
In the hands of inexperienced mechs, they might. *gives a light grin* I won't collapse. Don't worry about me, Simba. *playfully prods Steeljaw's nose* I'll go recharge just after I check in with communications.
*smiles at them, glad to see his brother starting to come back to himself after all that trauma.*
Well, since Blaster's gonna be here a while, I'm gonna pop outside for a while to take of that stuff, Jaw. That okay with you?
*private comms Blaster only* [I know you need to recharge, but could you still stay with him? He's missed you and it would mean alot if you could spend some time with him right now. He could use all the support he can get, to recover, and you being here's a huge bonus. So can you stay?]
*stands from his chair and gets on the berth next to Steeljaw, since the berth was plenty big enough* That's 'cause I let you. *grins*
*comms back to Rewind* [Yeah, I'll stay with him. I can check on communications later. Steeljaw's more important. Anyone who tries to say otherwise can stick it up their tailpipe.]
[It's fine, Rewind. You should go out and get some fresh air. I think I'll be alright now. Besides, den mother's here. And thanks for the help...]
*He shifted so Blaster could lie down comfortably, careful not to get tangled in some of the wires that were still attached to him to monitor his vitals.*
*As First Aid makes his rounds, he sees Blaster cuddling Steeljaw. He smiles softly behind his mask and approaches quietly, careful not to wake up the cassette.*
Good morning, Blaster. How are you? I see you found your wayward cassette.
*looks up at First Aid, careful not to shift and jostle the recharging lion in his lap*
Mornin' Aid. Just wanted to check in on 'im before I headed to recharge myself. *he gives the young medic a soft smile, it was thanks to all the medics that Steeljaw was doing so well to begin with and Blaster felt he had to show some gratitude*
*Is glad to see Blaster smile like that. Things were finally getting better for Steeljaw. He was lucky to have such a caring guardian.*
Of course. And you know...it's not quite orthodox, but if you would like to rest here with him... I mean, he seems to take comfort in your presence. ^^;
