Bloody ‘ell just what I needed. Well, more of what I needed. I go though hell and back again to get the spark for her but still it wasn’t enough. Well, not until the final moment then it was and then she loved me. Doubt she even loved me then, I know she was just saying it out of pity for me. Come on now I was ‘bout to die a champion fighting the ( Read more... )

I smiled a little when he said he didn't want to share a room with Gunn. Personally? I think one of them would be seriously injured before the end of the week. And my office is not bigger then Gunn's. In face with the way I have it cluttered with books, as Fred calls it, it looks even smaller. Or so Lorne told me. During one of his many decorating lectures. For some reason he always seems to have this need to decorate my office. Make it more homey ( ... )

I nodded at him when he said he wouldn't need any books. Well, alright, fine. If he can do it from the top of his head, he's obviously better versed at this language then I am. Remarkable feat that ( ... )

“Your lost” I sighed as he wouldn’t give in to talking ‘bout the stuff bottled up inside of him. Always all this work, with everyone here. Sure as hell glad I’m not on some blody contract here ( ... )

Managing to keep in a relieved sigh when he decided to drop the matter, I nodded again. Then I dove into the paper work on my desk. Which, really, was quite a mess. It's the last time I'll go away and leave my office unsupervised. You'd think at least Gunn or Fred would've kept an eye on thing. Perhaps they were avoiding the office just as much as they seem to be avoiding me ( ... )

Of course, just what I expected. He wasn’t going to go for the bloody plan. Human’s these days, never want to go out and just live a little. It’s all ‘bout these jobs of theirs, ok I get it that they need money to live and all that good stuff but the time put into it ( ... )

I doubt anyone working for Wolfram and Hart had a picture pretty life. Though, now that we took over, they might. Where before they had to be afraid to get sacrificed at will, or even their children? Now they had to be afraid not to pass our test of figuring out what they were all up to. Call me paranoid, but I'm not really trusting anyone who used to work here previously to us taking over. I tried that and look where it got me ( ... )

“Right, maybe Angel would realize that. But if it came down to it I could just do what you said. Let me smack your around a few times, couldn’t be that bad now could it? We could just say I knocked you out, so I’ll just give you one hard hit over the head, cause a bit of bleeding and that will be it ( ... )

My, my. Someone seems to be rather full of himself. Either that or he's making a joke. I don't know him well enough to see the difference. But if this is the way he can be, I can see why someone like Angel might get overly annoyed. Or even Gunn. I, on the other hand, are very much amused ( ... )

Just as I figured he would make up some lame ass excuse like the books. What the hell was that, not in front of the bloody books. They where books, but then he went on ‘bout them being important and all that other mumble jumble stuff I’d much rather not pay attention to. Didn’t really strike my fancy you might say.

The next part came as some of a shock to me. He said there was a training room. Did that mean he was open to it. And he also said it was perfect for sparing matches. Seems my old tricks have worked again. Not that they were tricks or anything of that matter, I was just being myself telling him as it would, which always seemed to work somehow.

“Ah, so you want to challenge me?” I smirked “You so sure ‘bout that one?” I took a few steps towards him sizing him down. “You know, this won’t end too pretty, and” I looked him down once more “I would really hate to mess up that nice outfit of yours.” My eyes returned to his with a evil smirk placed upon my face. The type I used to get when I would go and mess with the slayer.

That pompous, cocky little bastard. He really does think I'm that easy to take down. Either that or he's playing me. Either way, this was a challenge I couldn't just let slide off me. Usually I had no problem doing as such. Something you learned fast withing Wolfram and Hart, where practically everyone seemed to be out to 'get you ( ... )

I could tell I irritated him. I loved to see that look on people’s faces. Stupid sod thought he could take me. This sure would be one interesting match. Although I do have to admit, I was bluffing a bit, I have seen him in some action and he wasn’t that bad, still not as good as me but not bad. But you had to drive them to it to get it all out of them. And he sure was ready. Not that I could complain.

"I believe you're the one who was challenging me, And I've plenty more outfits at home."“I do believe I am.” I smirked “Your going to need those other outfits when I get done with you.” Never pictured myself doing this here with Wesley, but had to admit it was fun. Brought some old rivalry back in me, bugging Angel was starting to get old. Wait a minute, bugging Angel could never get old. But someone new was always exciting none the less ( ... )

"Would that be the left side, or the right side," I asked dryly, proceeding him toward the lift. It was, apparently, quite late by now. "And I'm not a watcher." Most everyone had already left and it was with a small pang of...something, that I realized that non of my friends had even come by. Except for Spike then that is ( ... )

Trying to make jokes now wasn’t he, with the whole left or right side thing. Really thought he was something. And of course I knew he wasn’t no bloody watcher anymore. Just figured that would get to him, calling him something that he wasn’t, something he wasn’t good enough at to do. This was getting a bit more intense then I pictured. Here I am already thinking bad comebacks towards him when I had nothing against the guy, never did any harm to me so why should I care. Guess it was the whole getting myself prepaid for this little battle so to say we were about to have.

We finally made it to the training room. Strange but no one was around, in fact no one was around the building itself. Sure someone was lurking about somewhere, someone always was in this place but that made no difference now.

“How nice of you.” I said in a that sarcastic tone of mine as he held the door open for me. I stepped in and glanced around the place. Had to remember to work with the environment around you, if you were able to do that you had an advantage.

I never understood this pre-battle banter that everyone seems to have adopted. Angel does it. Gunn, they did it in Sunnydale and now apparently Spike is doing it as well. I'm certain there is a purpose to it, I just don't see it. It seems like a tremendous waste of breath to me. And energy. Now, granted, Spike doesn't have any breath, but still ( ... )

He asked me if I was confident in myself. Of course I was bloody confident in myself. Why wouldn’t I be, only been fighting for how long now. Which of course I’m still alive so couldn’t have done that bad. And now it was time to show that to him ( ... )
