I've just finished watching a documentary about Annie Leibovitz. Ever since I years ago saw the very famous picture she took of John Lennon and Yoko Ono she's always been one of my favorite photographers. She has a way of capturing people in a way I've rarely seen any other photographer do. Probably the reason why every famous person want her as their photographer, he he.
This picture is just so achingly beautiful in my opinion. The way Lennon looks so vulnerable, wrapped around the love of his life. For some reason I didn't know that this picture was taken only 5 hours before Lennon was shot, until they told mentioned that in the documentary I just saw. Which now, put in that context, makes this picture even more moving to me.
