Strange Theory on Women and Death

Yesterday an odd thought bubbled to the surface of my ticker tape mind. It occurred as I was doing the necessary things for my monthly flow. My husband is very sensitive to the appearance of blood. Especially if it is presented in his own life. Like most women who have their period every month, I am not bothered by the appearance. It would be a long few days if I were as sensitive as my husband to the sight of blood. Ergo, the thought: If blood represents life and death and one is used to seeing it in a large dose on a regular basis, one becomes familiar with life and death and cannot ignore it. If one is rarely introduced to blood, death is pushed away and only thought about in the context of film, which most likely is presented as exaggerated violence. Thus, women who are presented with blood on a monthly basis from a young age and for 20-30 years of life thereafter, are always reminded of death and most likely accepting of it. Men who are not presented with blood on a regular basis are not accepting of death and therefore have a misconception on what death is. This misconception and fear of death most likely leads to violence and war. Not saying it leads to violence in every man, just saying it could be an underlying culprit for some violence.

I know this argument is most likely wrong. I'm sure there are women who fear death just as much as men do. I'm sure there are women who can't stand their period and are probably sick and anxious through the whole process. But this is something that isn't really thought/talked about so I thought I would bring it up.

Your thoughts are appreciated.
