This is one damn long entry....

Hee, my connectee just IMed me. I thought I did a pretty good job of answering his questions on work load, frees, rules, clubs, etc. Go me!

Wow, it's been almost a week since I last posted. Weird. To think, a week ago, I didn't know who killed Lilly Kane. I won't say much about it here, as SOME PEOPLE on my friends list haven't finished Veronica Mars yet. But of those last three episodes, let me just say: WOW.

Monday was Laura and Suzie's going-away formal dinner party. Laura and I spent (literally) all of Monday shopping, prepping, watching Angel. We saw Ms. Melnikoff for the second time, when the two of us were out alone together, thus convincing her for sure that we are dating. How many people think that now? Sara and Virginia came over to help too. Finally, everything was ready. Aside from a last minute dash out to get ice and milk (in which Laura and I walked into White Hen in our formal wear and got the strangest looks)), we were all prepared.

People came in costume (it was a jazz-themed 20s Murder Mystery)/dressed up, and it all turned out very well. Sara filmed it (which we will edit into a kickass vid), and Kayleigh and Miriam took pictures (which I will post at the bottom of this entry). It turned out that Alycia was the killer because she was a prostitute and the guy wanted to sleep with her, or something. The ending was weird, and made very little sense.

My character was kinda lame, but it was fun. I was this guy who owned a gambling place, and I was apparently some creative criminal mastermind, but I didn't know it. They really should tell you these things in your little booklets.

Tuesday was a very important day for me. Because I started FIREFLY. OOOOHHHEEEMMMMGEEEEEE. <3 Joss Whedon. It's such a great show. You there! Yes you! Go watch it! But yeah, every single character pwns, and it reeeeks of Joss. <3!!!11!!one!!!

...sorry, that probably made very little sense to most of you. Seriously though, Firefly = good.

After that, I went with Kayleigh to Ranc's for ice cream. We walked to Grove St. Park after to hang out and talk. Some quality time needed to be put into my marriage. I'm going to steal some of Kayleigh's pictures here:

We talked a lot, and got all caught up on everything from chorus and ms. morgan to relationships. We talked a lot in Spanglish actually, which is so much fun. We took funny pictures (poor lost turtle!) and reminisced about middle school and about London. One of which I miss, the other I don't.

Laura came over later, and we watched tons of Angel-y goodness. We picked up Kayleigh partway through, and then, around midnight, went out with a bunch of people (Vartan, Annie, and Suzie) to say goodbye to Suzie. We went to Skyline (it only fits, right?) and had sex on sat on Suzie's blanket. We played a game of ten fingers, which Suzie and I lost horribly because of some blatent targetting on Laura's part. Vartan actually got all three of us on more than one occasion ("Never have I ever made out in the back of Suzie's car"), and Suzie actually got V, L, and I with one thing. It was fun, and I realized just how much I really know about some people. We drove everyone home, and said goodbye, listening to "Hollaback Girl" in the car. Now, when I think of Suzie, I will think of that song. That is good. Unfortuntely, they bleeped out the word 'shit,' (WTF? it's like half the song), so whenever it got to that part where it would go "this my --," "this my--," Laura and I would scream "SHIT!" at the top of our lungs. Heh.

Hey look at me, being all consice. I figure since most people have already posted about these things, I don't need to go into great detail. But if anyone misses my essay-entries, I can certainly write more :-D.

Moving on. Wednesday was when I began my mission of reading a chapter a day (approx. 60 pages, ugh) in John Adams. Yeaaaah. Long day.

I actually haven't been doing much at Fantasticks lately. It makes sense, because Stephen is leaving for two weeks, so we needed to run his stuff, but it was really pretty boring this week. That and it's a weird group dynamic with only 8 people in the cast.

I left rehearsal early on Wednesday as I had previous plans with Yenarae and Laura. I drove over to Yenarae's, found Laura, ate Korean food, and then made Strawberry cakes (which were SO GOOD!). We watched "Velvet Goldmine" (which is such a great movie), made hot chocolate, and cuddled on Rae's couch.. To quote, well, myself: The thing about Velvet Goldmine, is that you can watch it an endless number of times because in addition to being crack-tastic, it's conceived in a way that prevents you from expecting what comes next, and thus you relive it every time. It's like a good piece of theatre. Yet, it will take a good three or so more viewings before I even partially understand it. It's weird in the awesomest way possible. And it's also uber-gay. It makes me feel really profound though whenever anyone asks me about it, and I respond with an explanation of the cultural themes and sexual revolution of the Glam-Rock craze of the 70s. See? I also made Yenarae a wallpaper of Mandy and Brian from the movie, and promised her a colorbar saying "Mandy and Brian is Bittersweet Love."

Wallpaper!!

Yesterday was bad-good. I had one of those crappy mornings, but I did some reading, showered, watched Firefly, ate, and things picked up. Laura came over around 10, and we planned to get together with Graham, who got home yesterday. We watched Veronica Mars (ep. 2) and made hot chocolate again (though we used water and half-and-half as I was out of milk), with cheese and crackers, as a midnight snack. It was actually at midnight too. Go us! Graham ended up being too tired to hang out, and Laura and I were tired too. So we parted ways.

Today is shopping, then birthday dinner, and potential evening plans. Then Sunday is my birthday!!!!! I know you're ALL so excited for that. If anyone's around on Sunday, I think I'm going to go see "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" as a ceremonial activity for turning 17 (cuz it's rated R). So if anyone wants to come (we can prob. sneak in some 15- or 16-year-olds), let me know. Otherwise, I'll figure out something else to do as well.

FUCKING AOL just kicked me off. Luckily I had this whole entry saved, minus the memes. So if these seem a little short, it's because I'm redoing them.

Make a list of ten things you like, tag five friends, and tell them to post it as well.

Okay, I was thrice tagged for this: by Latara, Laura, and Rita. And sort of by Yenarae too. So I'll try to come up with slightly original answers.

1. My fandoms: Veronica Mars, Buffy, Angel, etc.
2. Photoshop and Screenblast.
3. Movie nights.
4. My friends and the crazy things we do together, that I would never do if it weren't for them.
5. The way that acting can be a sort of therapy for me, more than an escape, when I'm in a bad mood.
6. The expressiveness of singing (especially musical theatre) when you really get a chance to 'read' the song as it appeals to you.
7. Really connecting with people on a deep level.
8. Spending time alone when I just need a break from people.
9. The way I can really get a lot of things done when I put my mind to it.
10. Those experiences that you just know you're going to remember for the rest of your life.

Tagging:
The five people on my friends list who haven't yet done this. Yes you! That means YOU!

BTW, for those of you that make icons, this is your bible. Seriously, it has everything you need to know--The Idiot's Guide To Icon Making.

From Kayleigh's Sweet 16 Party:

Okay, I reaaaaaly need to end this entry now, so I'll post the LJ meme in my next entry.
