Because I'm a dork, I'm thinking about the continuity of having like seven Spartans in there. It's possible, but only if they placed in the timeline way before the first Halo happened.
From what I was told it does take place before the first Halo. So there will probably be no flood, BUT I am a hopeful man. They said its going to be exclusive to X360, so i'm guess the game play is going to be a tit'bit different.
