Lately I've been really into collages (as art) so I've spent all morning tinkering on Photoshop. I also want to make some real, physical pieces so I've ordered an old dictionary from ebay to serve as a source for background paper, old illustrations, quotes, etc. I'm excited!
All of this is in an effort to:
1. Get back into my art - I used to love it until I got busy and distracted in college
2. Relax - Making art is sooo peaceful
3. Try something that could get me a (very) minor supplementary income

I made a new blog on blogspot to post my movie reviews, lists, news, pop culture stuff, etc. so I can try to get a little money from ads. I have several people "following" me on Netflix, so I figure there's at least a small market for what I have to say on the subject, and lord knows I talk about movies enough, why not just put it into something that might get me a few extra bucks so I can order a beer at a bar in the city one night and not feel totally guilty.

etsy.com so that, if I do make some things here and there, I can put up originals or prints for sale. This really creative girl in Portland has done the same, and has sold 50+ since May for around $15-35 each. Not bad at all!
Anyway, I'm trying to be creative-- not only in the strict sense of the word, but also in my financial dealings. So... there you have it.
