Ooh, such a good choice, jumping from high shenanigans with Topher and Adelle to them in that disastorous bleak future. It makes it all so bittersweet, and the ending even more effective and heartbreaking.

I must say, though, I love all the little observances of high!Adelle, such as her supreme dislike of the itchy carpet.

That bit from "Echoes" is such a great scene for fic writers to mine, where we get to see a loosened up Adelle..the way you then contrasted that with Epitah One was wonderful. The two extremes with the common thread of Adelle and Topher's relationship was very well done. The ending was so bittersweet. Very nice.

Hehe. Yeah, Echoes is awesome for the little inside bit of Adelle we get to see. I also loved her scene with Topher in it and then in Epitaph One when they have their scene. I just love their dynamic, definitly my favourite platonic pairing.

Thank you so, so much for this! This is exactly what I wanted. You write them both so well it's really amazing. The first half is so funny and lovely, I loved all of Adelle's observations and then Topher offering her his underwear. Just perfect. And the importance of folding underwear! That was such a wonderful touch and the way you carried it over to the second half was so unexpected and moving.

I love how you turned such a funny sweet beginning into such a touching ending. The image of them folding the underwear together made me all sniffley. Guh. Amazing job and I really can't thank you enough for this! You made my morning. :D

Oh, I'm so glad you liked it! I was originally just going to do the Epitaph One scene ('cause I'm angsty like that) but then I rewatched Echoes and of course the idea came to me. Also, I wasn't sure from the prompt if you would prefer something funny and light or something dark and depressing. So I did both!
