As a huge fan of Law and Order: SVU and various other crime shows, I love this and find it really amusing that someone actually got to use some of the knowledge they learned from the show. To be honest, I would love to have the chance to do something like this myself. It would make me feel better knowing that all the hours I spend watching TV were put to some good use lol.

LOL me too. But it's crazy that this is finally in national news. You'd think that this would have come up earlier, since L&O has been around for 20 years, you know? Like why weren't fans solving crime 10 years, or 5 years into the show? All in all, it's great amusement, and I'm glad she caught the guy.
