(no subject)
1. Yesterday i accompanied the kids to Paradise Cove in Malibu for an under priviledged children free for all. we took a huge coach bus down there and kunta and younique were freaking out the whole time we were driving next to the coast or whenever they suspected we were going to cross a bridge. they also hate planes and boats. these kids are not going to be traveling much in their lives.
when we got down there, there were fire trucks and big trucks the kids could get in and honk the horns of. we were greeted by their school on wheels tutors and a pretty decent santa claus. we were led in and the kids all got to pick out 3 toys and 2 stuffed animals. then we had lunch over looking the water, and i was able to sneak off for a cigarette break while their tutor watched them, god bless her!
i got to walk out on the beautiful beach and lean against some beach wood fence, the water was flat and grey and the sky was too. but it wasnt raining and i enjoyed my 10 minutes of quiet time out there. it was strange not having anyone to text while i was doing that. i feel strange that i dont have someone to share my random observations with when im out doing things and see like a formation of birds flying over kimbal and i cant tell anyone about it anymore.
so much beauty.
anyway, went back in, had our lunch, the kids got even more toys and were all pumped up on it. i was so proud of them though. they werent loud, they said thank you, and then were easy and fun the whole day. we road back and i got to read my book on the drive and then got to leave work shortly after returning to ventura.
i cleaned out my car which is always nice, and then i hung out with amber :)
spent the later part of the evening chilling in. it was needed and nice.
i made my mom breakfast today and now im enjoying a cup of coffee and catching up with Andrew Thompson online. Im bummed for him being stuck over seas during christmas. hes a good man and im pleased to still have him in my life.
today i am going to be daring and after i get in a shower, stop at big lots and do a little christmas shopping before work. :)
