life is funny
work was really nice tonight.
i spent like an hour and a half to two hours putting together this shoe cubby so that i could have something to put in my office to orginize my supplies. it was frustrating and hard but i assembled it myself instead of making someone do it for me and it came out perfect and im oddle proud of it. then i spent a good deal of time putting all my stuff in it and my office looks really nice now :)
we had a woman come today with her 3 kids, and the oldest who is 8 and i played a lot of catch, football, and soccer. i let him win and he felt good about it. we also had the graduation ceremony of a woman i knew for the first month ive worked here. she completed the program, had been clean for over a year and got partial custody of her son. shes a really beautiful strong wonderful person and it was so nice to see everyone gathered there to celebrate with her. her whole family came and everyone made speeches. the women who live here, her family, the staff, me. we all cried and laughed and i was really glad i got to be there and see it. it makes me think that i work for a really amazing company.
ive been out like every day for over a week and i keep getting messeges from my parents saying they miss my face. im working 7 days straight in a row also. tired. but happy :)
i went to richard's this morning and we went to the super market and then he made me breakfast and we had english breakfast tea on his porch while i had a smoke. its nice and comforting to see him, but also interesting that he was someone i thought i loved a long time ago and i maybe did, but seeing him now, i know my relationship with him is exactly as it should be: close friends, bordering on brother sisterly love. ... he doesnt feel that way, but i do ha.
now im running out the clock a little at work. probably going to see nathan for a few and then pick amber up from work at 11 and spend some time with her.
