no one will update their journals so it's about time to step up and do something.
i took the bus to Philly today with the Michael and Hanna Garrity, Caitlin Pants, Mike Dunican, Mike, Drew, and Colleen. we actually missed the first bus, but that gave us the oppurtunity to go to McDonald's and Forman Mills. and i great oppurtunity it was because i got an Oreo McFlurry and some funky flip flops for $1.99.
we walked to South Street. i bought my prom jewelry, it's pretty bling. we went into alot of the nice stores, like the one with the cat. we went to the African store and i don't think we were welcome. i guess they put alot of effort into making it ethinic, and it's an insult when a group of loud white kids walk in and go straight to the bowl display case. WHATEVER they didn't even have beach scented insecense.
on our way home we went past a place where you could get your palm read. Cait and Mike Dunican did it, but i couldn't because she was going to the store with her daughter. but later as we're getting closer to Center City there was another Physhic place and i went there. i only had enough to get a "personality reading". so we went into this tiny room with a curtain, 2 chairs and a table with Tarot cards and a Bible and candles. so we sat down and she said she would need to hold something of mine, and she reccomended my cell phone. that seemed kind of impersonal so i tried finding something better in my purse, but i ended up handing her my phone anyway. she told me alot of stuff that was really accurate and personal. it didn't seem phony though. it wasn't the kind of thing where they say "well you like someone, and they mean alot to you, they drive a blue car" but she said stuff like "you've changed alot in the past 6 months, and you've become more independant" which i felt was true. she gave me alot of advice, and told me alot of personal things about myself and my emotions. it was awesome. i feel like i was meant to go there almost, because if the first lady hadn't gone to the store with her daughter, she would've given me a shitty forecast of my future, sent me on my way, and i never would've talked to the other lady. i wanna go back and get my palm read since i didnt have enough for it today.
The bus driver that took us home was black and crazy. he made us pay as a unit, and expected us to caculate how much that wouold be in our heads "$1.85!!!! TIMES.. 7 WHAT IS THAT??" and then yelled at Caitlin to pay attention. Then he gave us a lecture about what we were doing wrong and told us we didnt know what we were doing because we were from Pennsauken. i started pissing my pants laughing and couldn't stop for the longest time. and somehow me and Cait started a Ben Folds sing along on the bus. i'm not talking about a quiet little session, i mean belting out notes loud enough for every old person and hobo on the bus to hear. it was fun as hell, i love every one of you. especially you Hanna for letting me wear your shit.
woo prom in a week goddd what am i gonna wear?!
