Things are drawing to a close for me here in Pullman. I feel like there are a lot of "lasts" coming up. April marks the beginning of my last full month living here at Dana's, my last month of classes as an undergrad. I went through a phase of regretting that I was graduating a year early but I think I'm past that now and excited to move forward with my life. I've really enjoyed my time here at WSU and I'm happy with the degree I chose to get.

We found out on Friday that Corey didn't get into the Disneyland program for the fall. He was basically offered a spot in the Florida program but turned it down because he wants to be in California (with me!), and told to definitely re-apply for next spring. Apparently the DL program got a ridiculous amount of applicants for this fall so it was harder to get in and the fact that this was my last opportunity to apply gave me priority.

So...that kind of puts a definite date on how long Corey and I are together. We fully intend to do long-distance for as long as we have to, which hopefully is only until January. I'm hoping to get a pro internship through Disney and then Corey will be down there for the college program, so in theory we'll be together again after just about 5 months. And hopefully he's able to both drive down with me in August and come and visit sometime while I'm there.

In some ways I think it'll be really good for me to just kind of move to a whole new place where I don't know anyone and make a bunch of new friends and just focus on work and taking care of me for awhile. I'll have three female roommates to hang out with, free admission to Disneyland anytime I want, and I'll only be about an hour and a half away from my awesome cousin Marilyn.

There will be a gym in my apartment complex and I hope that the Calfornia "health nut"-iness will rub off on me and I'll finally find the motivation to get back into shape and lose some weight (although I'm planning on starting with that tomorrow with Weight Watchers and begin running again as soon as my sprained ankle is healed). It will be the first time EVER that I don't have school and am just working, and I've always been most successful at losing weight during the summer when I'm just working and working out and have more time to plan meals and gym visit, so I'm feeling really positive about this. I'd love to lose about 30 pounds by the end of my time there, and really tone up. That'd be amazing.

On another note, I'm 21 now. Wooooo!

Also, I stopped biting my fingernails, a habit I've had since 2nd grade.

Things are a-changin, folks.
