The weekend
I took friday off and got my oil, transmission fluid and coolant changed and waited for our new mattress to be delivered. The mattress in our camper isn't the slightest bit comphy and since Sleepys had a 50% off sale we got a new mattress for home and brought our existing mattress to camp. Friday night at camp we went to Teddy's site to watch the Celtics game and have fire. Good times...
Saturday I got up and started the rum raisin ice cream which was a big hit. Saturday afternoon all of Dave and Maureen's Kids plus Nancy and Jim and their kids all came to camp for my brother's birthday. Good times. The rum raisin ice cream was a big hit...
Saturday night we went back to Teddy's site again, this time for the UFC PPV which rocked.
Sunday morning I got up early to toast almonds for the Toasted Almond Ice Cream I was making and once they cooled I made the ice cream. Then we all got together for the day. I was only around until about 4:00 because I was going to poker. I got texted later from Janine that the ice cream was a BIG BIG hit. I didn't cash at poker, but I outlasted Diana and Jonathan so I stretched my lead a little bit, my lead over Jonathan and Stina is a little deceiving because I've played more games then they have and once I hit 20 games they may catch up a little. I almost didn't go because I was having a good time but it worked out well enough.
Yesterday we bummed around camp in the morning and moved our woodpile in an attempt to get more room on the site. We of course unearthed a lot of leaves but we burned them. We went out and got some hostas and other flowers to plant in the site and had a nice lazy day otherwise. The site is really ready now for some visitors..
I wore shorts and sandles for 4 straight days, putting on sneakers and pants was a tiny bit wierd today.
