Beyond the Rift Plots ZOMG

If you ever need me: Maka is the kind of person to take the weak and abused under her wing and fight for them at the cost of everything else. She’s lost her home, her weapon, and her best friend all at once, and while she’s sure now that Soul is somewhere in Chicago, she’s beginning to be frustrated with her inability to find him--and frustration from Maka generally leads to trouble.

She needs a friend. Someone she can take care of. Someone she can be strong for, so she doesn’t break down herself. (One clingtastic/shy/abused opening)

Stand my ground: An enemy. Someone strong, despicable, and preferably someone that Maka can eventually kill. I don’t have any real idea of who it could be or what that person could do--but something bad, while she doesn’t have a weapon and can’t do much on her own. Someone to kick the shit out of her when she tries to stop/defeat them the first time. (One opening, possibly more?)

Telling everybody just how to live their lives: Maka doesn’t trust adults. Her dad is a player, her mother left after the divorce and hasn’t been back to Shibusen since, and while she admires her teachers, she doesn’t trust them. Part of the training at Shibusen involves ambush and trickery, and they’re sometimes required to attack their teachers for in-class excercises.

Yes, yes they are.

She’s spent her whole life living around people who fight, and has been training herself to be self reliant. She doesn’t want to depend on anyone else. So she needs an adult. Someone who won’t leave her alone when she’s doing something dangerous, who’ll get up in her business, and generally be a presence in her life in a way that adults to date haven’t been. She has Soul, and he’s as good as an older brother for some things, but I want her to have at least one grown up in her life that she might eventually come to rely on. (One opening?)
