This is a great question. I do not believe people need an established religion or god to be moral. Most of us were born with a conscience and have learned a sense of right and wrong from our families and cultures which may or may not include a religious worldview. Then as we grow up we make our own choices. Of course, many choices and experiences have nothing at all to do with any god. Many decisions are made with a simple cost/benefit analysis, regardless of religion.
