dude, where's my party?
I took Bubba to Snapperz for his football party this afternoon. No one else showed up even though people were still talking about it at yesterday's game. We were apparently the only ones who didn't get the memo. The people who worked inside said that the coach never confirmed the party in the first place. This football thing has cost a lot of money (over $300 so far), not to mention the time requirement. Joining football has been worthwhile because Bubba loves it so much, but it would be nice if the coach would actually show up for practice, games, and special events. It's hard to teach kids to honor their commitments when their leaders can't be bothered to show up.
