((Good thing dear_mun isn't a "for real" place, because Aya was pissed off over how Gojyo was talking to him there in a comment thread to this post. In an evolution of character, where Aya once would have been crushed by someone he considered a friend speaking to him like this, now he's pissed off and disinclined to take it. I think it's part that he's changed and part that he hasn't seen much of Gojyo in so long that he doesn't really know if they're friends anymore instead of just people whose paths cross in front of groups of other people.
Even without the dear_mun conversation being canonical, it may be that their relationship quietly downgraded from "friend" to "acquaintance" on Aya's side without me noticing. This would be huge, because Aya had really liked him once upon a time. Yes, "liked" like that. Which, mind you, was partially in response to how Gojyo used to be far more friendly and attentive, things he's not anymore.
It's something to think about.))
