Hello?

Is this working?

[There are several tapping noises that are suddenly heard as Altair juggles and messes with the communicator]

[In low tone:] I don't know who called this efficient

[A small pause]

I am speaking in English right now because that seems to be the most commonly spoken langauge right now.

I am Altair Ibn-La'Ahad. I am a holy ( Read more... )

It shall be another moment, it seems a nurse wishes to make my acquaintance. [Why yes, he is joking though it takes listening closely to hear it in his voice.]

[And the nurse makes a weird creaking noise followed by a voiceless screech that ends very abruptly. All it would take for him to reach Altair's position - freaky SOLDIER-powered jumps ftw.]

Ah, there.

[Altair watched the figure as it stood in front of him. He shivered a little, as he found him anything but normal. At first he gave a step back, but then resolved to asking questions]

You...

Are you man?

[ Sephiroth stood where he landed, his sword held behind his back and his expression carefully neutral. He was used to such actions from people who never met a SOLDIER before - especially one of his level and skills.]

I am from the human race if that is what you wish to know... But different circumstances of my home world have altered me. You shall find that many worlds have people are not exactly human.

Not exactly human...

That's certainly interesting.

It is certainly intriguing at what some worlds consider intelligent.

So i see.

I guess I will have to adapt more then what i have already adapted...

But we can speak of this later. For now, what can you tell me about this world? Where are the most safe places to be?

The apartment buildings are the safest here. Many people live there and the police patrol the area around them constantly. Next to that is the high school - people live there and the police guard the streets around there as well.

As for this world... It seems to have suffered a crisis that decimated the native populace outside of a small handful of people we have taken to call 'Scientists'. These scientists are the ones that have brought everyone here from their home worlds and set them loose on this desolate city. From what we can gather, they are either trying to repopulate this place or they need us to act as a cataclyst to trigger a rebirth of this place. We have managed to piece together a police force, some supply groups, schooling for the younger people, and some repair work on such things as running water and electricity.

[Altair gazes downward]

Seems like i got in a big situation again. It's been about a year since the last time i got in the last situation; this seems far worse, though.

It is a test of survival and endurance for some. While I find the setting rather amusing, others have a hard time adjusting to the lack of anything remotely normal.
