Thank you very much!! I really enjoy doing research for fics. Even if I can't do that time period justice and I end up making up a lot of details, it's stll really fun for me to come across a random cultural/historical fact that will work so well with my story. Like the fact that they genuinely had male prostitutes! I was NOT expecting that, I couldn't believe it when I read that. Made my lfie so much easier knowing I didn't have to make up some stupid excuse for Alfred to have his job. And then the thing aboout fairies bringing people back fromt he dead thing - could that BE any more appropriate?! I know "fairy brought Arthur back to life" was possibly the most unexpectedly light-hearted ending after such a serious fic. But IT'S FOLKLORISHLY POSSIBLE so there you go. I was always going to bring Arthur back at the end, so I liked finding out fairies could help it happen.
I'm glad there's other people out there who can't stand tragedies either! We can be pillars of support for each other when other writers kill them off or separate them.
