My name is Tanya, Davey is my fiance.

David passed away November 4th, 2006 at 4:24pm Central Time. He has some friends on here that I don't know, so I thought I would post the news in his journal, as well. If you need to contact me, I am bandit_art or you may reach me at cinn_stix@juno.com

Today is his memorial service It is short notice, but the information is posted in my livejournal.

I don't believe Dave wrote very much here about his illnesses. A brief and watered down description: he had breast cancer that showed no symptoms until it had metastasized to the bone and was irreversible. We found out last year, around June '05. He was on chemo and radiation, tried his hardest to combat what seemed to be the inevitable, and never once felt sorry for himself. A few months ago, he started becoming even more sick, vomiting several times a day, eventually getting to the point where he couldn't eat or even drink. That is how he spent the last month of his life, and we questioned doctors as to what was going on that was causing the sudden onset of such things. Two hours before he passed away, we got the answer: it was an extremely severe case of pancreatitis. I am happy he doesn't have to go through this anymore, it was becoming very hard for him. He once weighed nearly 300 pounds...before he passed he was at around 120. He never let anyone know how bad it was, but I want people to know his story...perhaps it could save someone else. That is one thing he told me, "I don't want this to go for nothing." He wanted to donate his body along with his medical records to show people how treatments worked or didn't, how this disease affected the entire body, etc. He had a MRCA staph infection, so the donation couldn't be accepted. Now it is up to me to let it go for something. If you have anything Dave may have told you, be sure to contact me and share it if you feel it may help.

He talked about a few of you to me, so thank you for being his friend. Although you may have never met him in person, he enjoyed your online companionship. Feel free to leave a few words for him.
