ROYALLY CONFUSED!
OK, I do not get on LJ very often but as many of you know I was on there posting to myth comms about Dean's Amulet, not neccasarily to prove that it is real, but to see if if it was actually based of a any real myth. today I received a reply to one of these post that sent me into land of confusion. Now I either need help setting the chick/dude out, or I need answers to where she pulled this stuff from.

Okay I got a reply from Kantayra on LJ Journal that stated (and I quote)
""Dean's necklace really doesn't look Egyptian. I can't say what it is (or if it is anything) because I haven't done intense study of any cultures outside of Egypt, but you can definitely rule out Egypt. :P
However, as another rather avid SPN fan, I have to say that I doubt it's anything specific. Kripke makes up quite a lot, really, even if he does tie it back to some myth or legend later. He could just as easily say, "Oh, yeah, Dean found it at a tacky souvenir store, but then Bobby charmed it so that the Impala will be immortal" and have it make sense, as have it be some obviously recognizable symbol.
So I can't prove that it's nothing, but I sort of suspect it is. After all, Kripke said he only had the arc of the first three seasons planned and the necklace hasn't even begun to figure in yet. So odds are, if it ever does become a plot point, it will be made up on the spot.""

WT -- (Sorry M, I promise I tried my best to censor but I am a mixed of Angry and confused.)
WHERE, WHEN, WHAT Did I miss something?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! When Did Kripke say he only had a 3 yr plan? I thought he said he had a 5-7 year plan!! And Didn't they say they are for sure covering the necklace this season?? And I thought Kripke said the majority of everything he does in the show is based on or around real myths or urban legends?? WHAT HAVE I MISSED!!!!!!!!!! Can some please post a reply to her that would set things straight for both her and I, or should I just blast her? (Which I rather not do, I want to be ration I really really do.. But Amy hasn't made it my way with the med cart yet today so rational is not in train of thought. And the train is slowly becoming derailed!)
