Summary: Jonghyun’s job is rather unusual; dogsitting for an idol isn’t something most students pick up on the side. Only, what he expected to be a stroll in the park with two lovable dogs turns out to be much more than he bargained for.
( It looks like his big sweater is swallowing him up with how he’s sitting, huddled up into a corner of the couch. In that moment, Jonghyun has no trouble believing Key is actually younger than him. He looks deceptively innocent like this, maybe even a bit naïve. )
I sprinkled this fic with a few things to mirror how they get closer and more comfortable around each other, the signatures was one of them ^^ I'm glad you pointed it out!
I hadn't thought of that line in that way but you're right. Hmmmm I makes me think... I'll see if I can come back to it somehow later in the fic.
I'm always amazed at how much goes on backstage. Like for every concert we get footage of, every performance, ever song, there are tons of preparation that go behind, none of which we see! I feel like we take that for granted a lot and ask a lot out of idols sometimes because it really is long and taxing to prepare and rehearse and practice and all that jazz OTL I'm hoping to stay true to that at least a little in this fic.
Honestly, you kind of hit the nail on the head with that next paragraph. I never said so but as I thought about this fic more and more, I kind of started thinking of it also as a "what if shinee hadn't been formed and the members all deviated onto slightly different paths" fic. If all goes to plan then it should become more obvious as the fic progresses. But it's definitely a theme I'm hoping to include, at least a little?
Don't worry, plenty more sensitive questions to come lmao. Like I told you, sometimes I'm afraid this fic is turning into 100% serious conversations OTL
